TERMS OF USE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, installing, or using Tabletop AI Assistant ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms supplement the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of a conflict regarding the specific AI services provided, these Terms shall control.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

The App provides access to Artificial Intelligence (AI) models for the purpose of analyzing board game rules, answering questions, and explaining game mechanics.

You acknowledge that the AI is a rapidly evolving technology and may occasionally produce incorrect, offensive, or biased information ("hallucinations"). We do not manually verify every response generated by the AI.

3. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND ADS

3.1 Payment and Renewal

Payments will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

3.2 Cancellation

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.

3.3 Family Sharing

If you purchase the "Family" subscription tier, you may share the subscription with up to 5 other family members via Apple’s Family Sharing feature. All family members are individually subject to these Terms, including the Fair Use Policy below.

3.4 Ad-Supported Access (Rewarded Ads)

Users who do not purchase a subscription may obtain a limited number of additional free questions by voluntarily watching video advertisements ("Rewarded Ads"). Availability of ads is not guaranteed and depends on third-party inventory. You agree that we are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or any products/services promoted therein.

3.5 One-Time Purchases (Question Packs)

  • Virtual Items: You may purchase "Question Packs" or "Credits" (collectively, "Virtual Items") to access the AI service without a subscription. These Virtual Items represent a limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the App’s features. They are not legal currency and have no monetary value outside of the App.
  • No Expiration: Credits purchased via Question Packs do not expire and will remain in your account until used, provided that the App is still available on the App Store and supported by us.
  • No Family Sharing: Unlike subscriptions, Virtual Items are not eligible for Family Sharing. They are tied to the specific Apple ID that purchased them.
  • Service Termination: In the event that we cease operations or shut down the App, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., 30 days). Any unused Virtual Items remaining after the service termination date will be forfeited without refund.
  • Non-Refundable: All purchases of Virtual Items are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or the policies of the Apple App Store.

4. FAIR USE POLICY

Important: This section explains how we manage "Unlimited" access to ensure the service remains affordable and fast for everyone.

4.1 "Unlimited" Access

Subscriptions described as "Unlimited" are subject to this Fair Use Policy. This policy is designed to prevent fraud, abuse, and excessive resource consumption that would degrade the service for other users.

4.2 Excessive Consumption

We reserve the right to monitor usage volume. "Excessive consumption" is defined as usage patterns that significantly exceed the average usage of a typical human user (e.g., volumes indicative of automated scripts, bulk processing, botting, or sharing a single account among multiple non-family users).

4.3 Throttling and Limits

If your usage is deemed excessive or abusive, Tabletop AI Assistant reserves the right to:

  • Temporarily limit the speed of your requests (throttling).
  • Switch your account to a lower-cost AI model (e.g., from a "Pro" model to a "Standard" model) for the remainder of the billing cycle.
  • Temporarily pause generation capabilities for the remainder of the daily or monthly period if extreme usage limits are reached.
  • Suspend access immediately if automated botting is detected.

5. USER CONDUCT

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to access the App's API.
  • Share your individual account credentials with others (outside of Apple Family Sharing limits).
  • Fraudulently manipulate the ad-reward system (e.g. using ad-blockers while claiming rewards).

6. AI DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY

6.1 Accuracy

The App uses third-party AI technology (LLMs). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content generated. You should not rely on the App for professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. In the context of board games, rule interpretations may occasionally differ from official errata.

6.2 Ownership of Content

Subject to applicable laws, you retain ownership of the input you provide and the output generated by the AI. However, you are solely responsible for how you use that output.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Viktor Mykhailiv and Tabletop AI Assistant shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App.

8. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
